If—

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

And treat those two impostors just the same;

The Poem
Deep poems have been a constant source of inspiration for the Founders of Pitch&Toss, and this one is the namesake to the brand.
In “If—” the poem’s speaker uses contrasting ideas to show the balance that is required to align oneself with their true potential.
Though written for his son, it is evident that it advice from Fathers to Sons, Mentors to Pupils: wisdom to learn, live, and, eventually, bestow.
